End of 2020
Here we are at the beginning of 2021. 2020 was the year of Covid-19; millions of dead, millions out of work, social distancing, masks, gloves, gowns, closings, re-design of entertainment, and many other changes due to Covid-19. The culmination of four years of a Trump presidency; increase in hate language/behavior, increase in the divide between political parties, increase in voting participation, unprecedented inappropriate behavior (by the standards of most Americans) by a president of the United States of America, loss of foreign allies, and conspiracy theories, just to mention a few.
Hopefully 2021 will be the year of, ending the pandemic, more cooperation between human beings, increased safety in the world by peaceful means, more focus on human lives and less focus on material gain, and acceptance of self and others. Focusing on the solutions for our world instead of demonizing each other would bring people together for a common goal. If we look for a compromise that will consider the values of all involved, we will move towards peaceful and honorable outcomes. If we continue in divisiveness, violence will increase. History is a great predictor of current and future results.
Who wants to try something new? What about true peace? Self-acceptance and acceptance of others. What about my rights end where yours begin? Let’s talk about this!
