Resilience

Resilience is the ability to bounce back from setbacks and cope with stress and adversity. Resilience can positively influence work satisfaction, engagement, well-being, and mental health. Resilience is not just a trait that some people are born with, but a skill that can be learned and practiced. According to some sources, resilience can be cultivated and grown by:

  • Developing a sense of control over your actions and emotions

  • Seeking information and support from others

  • Finding meaning and purpose in what you do

  • Facing your fears and challenges

  • Being optimistic and hopeful

  • Building social connections and networks

  • Taking care of your physical and mental health

  • Learning from your experiences and mistakes

  • Embracing change and flexibility

  • Expressing your creativity and passions

  • Having a sense of humor and fun
