Solution or Problem?
I think that I must be part of the solution. When I act and speak in a manner that I believe to be solution focused, others say I am part of the problem. Wanting to be part of the solution is not enough. Thinking my beliefs, behaviors, and intentions are solution focused is not enough. So, what to do?
Are those that believe, act and intend differently than me wrong? Even though my first inkling is that they must be wrong, I am sure that is not the case. There are as many perceptions of right and wrong as there are people.
What if we all listened to each other with an open mind. What if we worked on solving problems rather than talking about philosophies? What if we accepted one another as we are rather than trying to change each other? What if we treated others the way they want to be treated? The truth is we don’t know the answer to these questions because there is no point of reference for this in history.
Humanity is a beautiful, diverse, fascinating, interesting, and challenging race to which we all belong. Let’s focus on accepting ourselves, each other and solving problems. This is a huge undertaking. The divisions that our egos have created are clearly not healthy for Humanity.
