It Takes Courage to be Real

Self-discovery is a bit like renovating an old house. At first, you're excited to peel back the layers and see what potential lies underneath. But then you realize the wiring is a tangled mess, the plumbing leaks in places, and there are strange stains on the basement floor that can never be fully removed.

You can spend endless time and money trying to renovate yourself, swapping out old floors for new, repainting walls in trendy colors, and updating fixtures to be more modern. But at a certain point you have to accept that you can't change the fundamental blueprint and layout. The best you can do is a little redecorating here and there to make things feel fresh.

Self-discovery is a lifelong process full of unexpected twists and turns. The key is not to resist or hide the uncomfortable parts of yourself, but to embrace the journey. Learn from the past, take pride in how far you've come, and look forward to all the possibilities that lie ahead. You may never be a perfect specimen, but you can be perfectly you.

Peace,
