Driven by Fear

It is important to be authentic in all our words and deeds.  This means telling the truth, living what you profess, keeping your word, and not promising what you cannot deliver.  If you fall short of these, immediately do the next right thing.

This sounds like common sense, right?  This is harder to practice than one would think.  I know that It is important to practice the above in all our relationships.  I promise myself all the time that I will do the above.  I want to address issues as they arise and not wait until I am resentful.  Time and time again I go back to feeling like a failure because I have acted with anger and frustration.  I tell myself that circumstances have determined this manifestation.  This is not true.  The truth is driven by fear of not getting what I want or losing something I have is the culprit.  Circumstances do not predict my behavior.  The choices I make in the circumstances are my responsibility.  This is the good news.  If I am not the problem, I have no solution.

What are you afraid of losing or not getting that keep you from being 100% authentic in your relationships?
